Splendor in the grass....

Redmond and I decided to take Sadie to the mall on Sunday. Malls are very popular places for children, because they are a central containment area for lots and lots of people spending money, and there are always 10,000 other children at which to gawk. Somehow, Sadie seems to know the difference between children and adults, and she is endlessly fascinated with other children. On the way to the mall, we passed Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area, and being the good little nature nerds that we are, we spontaneously decided to pull in and soak in the sunshine and views on this very mild Indian Summer day.

Redmond carries Sadie to the pond....

Whee... piggyback time....

Oopsie! Don't fall down!!!!

We rest on a bench for a spell, looking at the pond...

Sadie shows off her new, exciting teeth! She has four and two new ones just breaking the skin.

Daddy and Sadie look at the lovely view. One would never guess by this picture that I-85 is just on the other side of that swatch of trees...

We play on the grass for a piece....

Back home, Grandma walks Sadie around with a lemur around her neck. Mom, Sadie and I had taken Sadie to the NC Museum of Life and Science the day before...

Here is picture proof that Sadie raids the dog food and water bowls...

Not even a shred of remorse, eh? ;-)

Heh. Because I don't like being in front of a camera. ;-)
