Miracle Kitty!

Well, we're happy to report that Bridger has made a fairly miraculous recovery! We didn't think he'd make it at all, and though he's still skinny, limps a bit, and has a few wounds still healing, he's doing rather well... He has one particular wound on his back that he will NOT leave alone. The Elizabethan Collar was no help, as the collar sat right over the wound and irritated it. So, behold the mod kitty!

He looks rather fetching in his bright orange and pink turtleneck, no? Baby clothes have more than one use...

The weather was particularly cold, rainy and gloomy this weekend, so we didn't get out and play very much. We had a brief reprieve on Sunday afternoon, and though it was chilly, we did take Sadie out to her favorite playground...

She's loving playing in sand these days...

Ringing bells....

Creating musical cacophony...

And being generally mischievous...

Last night, we took a walk to the ponds. We're thrilled that the Canada Geese who abandoned their nest appear to be trying again... Anyway, when we returned home, we were greeted by a friend...
The head was NOT diamond shaped, though I have spotted a cottonmouth in our neighborhood before...

In general, all is well, though Sadie is so amazingly active. I intellectually knew the day would come when we'd be chasing her all over creation, but I didn't know how exhausting it could be. She's figured out how to climb the dining room table, and twice last week, she poured an entire cup of sugar free Cherry Kool-Aid over her head... on the floor.. staining her face, clothes, etc. She's gone vertical now, and a new level of child-proofing is needed. The verbal communication is beginning to pick up, with "two" and "Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!" being her favorite words, along with "Upstairs!" So, I'm tired, but I'm loving watching this little toddler become a little person, with strong and passionate likes and dislikes.

I am so relieved Bridger will be ok! Whew. And Sadie is growing, growing! Is that a potty that Bridger is laying in front of? Is Sadie starting to potty train??
